Senior Actuarial Analyst at Nautilus performs
Ratemaking and/or Reserving actuarial functions; acquires and
analyzes data as necessary to complete these functions; works closely with
underwriting to propose pricing actions; participates in decision making
process by identifying issues and recommending solutions; and is responsible
for following up on proper installation and completion of approved changes.
Actuarial Analyst will:
analyses and propose changes in rate levels and rating structures based on
statistical review, company experience, competition, market conditions, legal
climate and underwriting practices; communicate proposals to management and
underwriting; follow up on installation of final decisions made regarding
recommendation to ensure proper and complete execution.
filings with the insurance department.
provide data and analysis to further enhance pricing accuracy and segmentation;
design and improve rating tools.
categorize data; prepare results of analysis with concise, logical and
organized content; communicate with the appropriate level of technical terms
suitable to audience; May require presentation of results to a large audience.
document assumptions used in the analysis; Document sources and organize work
and/or review of modeling results where indicated.

A minimum of
four years’ actuarial experience is preferred.
A minimum of 4
Casualty Actuarial Society examinations required.
Degree is required, preferably in actuarial science, economics, finance or mathematics.
knowledge of actuarial functions and methods along with knowledge of company databases
and their integration.
Microsoft Office products, including some knowledge of SQL Server and VBA, with
advanced knowledge of Excel.

Must possess advanced skills in
mathematics and statistics, written and oral communication skills, personal
computer skills, and knowledge of current insurance products.
