Our Benefits
Nautilus Insurance Group prides itself in offering a comprehensive benefit plan that is unmatched in the industry.
Healthcare
Includes PPO options for two very different plan designs. The Company offers a high-deductible HSA (Health Savings Account) option. This high deductible plan with the HSA allows employees to make pre-tax contributions to pay for eligible medical expenses. Alternatively, employees may choose to participate in a more traditional PPO plan with lower deductibles and employee premium contributions.
Dental Insurance
A comprehensive dental plan is offered at no cost to employees. Family members may be added for a reasonable premium deduction to employees.
Time Away from Work
The Company recognizes certain days during the year as paid holidays for its employees in addition to time off for jury duty and bereavement leave.
The Company’s “Paid Time Off” program provides employees with a flexible bank of hours available for use when time off is needed for vacation or other personal situations. The company recognizes the benefit of employee loyalty and has developed a schedule of PTO accrual based upon the length of each employee’s tenure with the company.
Additionally, employees are granted Sick Time on an annual basis, which may be used for their own sickness or the sickness and care for dependent family members.
Retirement and Savings Plans
The W.R. Berkley Corporation provides a generous Profit Sharing contribution to each employee’s 401k account annually. Upon eligibility, the plan guarantees a contribution of no less than 5% of an employee’s salary each year. This contribution increases based upon Nautilus Insurance Group’s overall profitability and performance.
Work / Life Balance
The Company provides an on-site workout facility including cardio machines, free and machine weights as well as shower facilities. Throughout the year, tickets are made available to a variety of local sporting events. Tickets are customarily provided on a first come/first served basis.
Casual Dress Environment
Employees enjoy a business casual attire policy during the winter months, including casual dress (jeans) on Fridays. In the summer - Memorial Day to Labor Day - the dress code is casual all week.
Tuition Reimbursement
The Company reimburses employees — up to a maximum of $5,250 per calendar year (undergraduate or graduate) — who continue their education through approved business programs.
No-Interest Computer Loan Program
The Company provides reimbursement up to $1,000 to employees who purchase a computer or peripheral equipment for use in their home. This no-interest loan is re-paid through a payroll deduction of $50 per paycheck until the loan is re-paid in full.
Disability Insurance
Short-term disability coverage is provided at no cost to employees. This coverage pays 60% of an employee’s weekly earnings up to a maximum of $2500.
Long-term disability coverage is also provided at no cost to employees. This coverage pays 60% of an employee’s monthly earnings after 90 days of continued disability. Coverage continues until age 65 with continued qualification.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Employees can save money on many health care (medical, dental and vision), and dependent care expenses through Tax Advantage Reimbursement Accounts. These accounts allow the use of pre-tax dollars to pay for certain health care expenses (not covered by any other plan) or eligible dependent care expenses. That means the money set aside in these accounts is completely tax-free.
